DanTran is a bus service assisting the community of Danville, Kentucky with accessibility for anyone. DanTran is open to the public and is a sponsored program of Blue Grass Community Partnership (BGCAP) and Bluegrass Ultra-Transit Service (BUS). DanTran is part of a growing web of local transportation services provided by BGCAP and Bus services. With the support of the Federal Transit Administration and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Office of Transportation Delivery, the people of Central Kentucky now have more affordable access to local communities and major regional and national transportation hubs.
DanTran is a Deviated Fixed Route. In simple terms this means that if you are at an address within one half (1/2) of a mile of our Danville Bus Stops, DanTran will either pick you up at that address or drop you off at another location within one half (1/2) of a mile of one any Danville Bus Stops.
A deviation must be scheduled a minimum of 24 hours in advance by calling the reservationist at 1-800-456-6588. All Route Deviations are for people with and without disabilities. Tell the reservationist you want to schedule a deviation for DanTran.
All deviations are scheduled during a short time frame when the bus is normally scheduled to be at the closest stop to your requested deviation. It is important you are ready at the given time as DanTran has a schedule to maintain. Make your reservations early as only two (2) scheduled deviations per loop are available. This allows your bus to run in a timely fashion and be more predictable.
