Q. What are the hours of operation for DanTran?
A. DanTran operates Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:50 PM.
Q. Can I be picked up at my house?
A. With a 24 hour advance notice, DanTran does make deviations within ½ mile of a published stop. Learn more about deviations here.
Q. Where can I get a DanTran schedule?
A. DanTran schedules are available on www.dantranroute.org or from a bus driver, our office (located at 225 W. Walnut Street) or the Danville Boyle County Fifty Five and Alive Senior Activity Center (located at 975 Hustonville Road Suite #23). You may also call 1-800-456-6588 and request one be mailed to you.
Q. How much does DanTran cost?
A. The standard fare to ride DanTran is $2.00 per ride each way. Discount fares are available. Check out the “FARES” page for details.
Q. It is time for DanTran to be here, why is it not here?
A. Actual times may vary due to traffic conditions, weather, and other unavoidable factors. DanTran will never leave a scheduled stop early.
Q. I am on a government funded medical program. Is my DanTran ride paid by them?
A. Blue Grass Ultra-transit Service has paid medical transportation for State qualified Medicaid patients. DanTran is a public route that requires everyone to pay the published or discounted fares.
Q. How do I find the stops; I don’t see any bus stop signs?
A. To keep the cost of DanTran affordable and flexible, we chose to publish the stop locations with descriptions, on our schedules and website.
Q. I am not a Senior Citizen; Can I ride DanTran?
A. DanTran is open to the public and “Anyone Can Ride”.
Q. I am unable to walk up steps. I also use a wheelchair; can I ride DanTran?
A. Anyone can ride! DanTran is equipped with a lift so if you can’t manage steps or ride in a wheelchair, we will be happy to let you board and disembark on an ADA compliant lift. Your driver is always available to assist you getting on and off the bus.
Q. Can I bring my child?
A. Yes, you can bring your child. Standard fares apply. You are required to supply your own child seat(s).
